Lynne was 49 with 2 children when she had a SCAD Heart Attack. She had spent the morning at her son’s soccer game and then the usual Saturday morning grocery shop. She felt an ache across the back of her shoulders but put it down to increasing her weights at the gym the day before. She also started yawning and wondered if she was coming down with a virus. Back at home while putting the shopping away she felt odd and turned to talk to her husband. Before she could speak she felt her knees buckle and everything go black. She collapsed to the floor unconscious. Her husband called 000 and waited for the ambulance. The paramedics transported her to the Launceston General Hospital where the cardiologists were waiting. Lynne’s heart attack was caused by a SCAD in her LAD.
